Default Indercators flashing up the creek

Hi guys

when i turn the indercators they flash both sides, the side i have selected flashes normally but the other side is random, as if its shorting.

i have had the flasher relay unit out from behind the stereo and thats fine, but when i was listening to it i could hear another ticking coming from behind the glove box and this ticking is in sync with the other side that isnt selected.

any help would be greatfull.

thanks david

The Earths on your lighting/indicator circuits would be my first thoughts to check mate.

Try checking all the connections on to the lights/indicators themselves, this would be the most likely area to develop a fault through a corroded contact etc.
