Default Bottom end gone:(99999999999999999999999999999999999999

Hi Guys, unfortunately now after 4 years my bottom end is knocking, now my mate is going to rebuild me an engine and fit it for free, but i will have to source parts etc..

Soo.. any help with where i can can get pistons, crank, bearings, oil pump etc from, im going for a standard build as every thing else i.e turbo and other supporting mods will be swapped over as all he is doing is swapping engine over

Thanks

If you have a closed deck block it 'might' need converting for rear thrust, should cost around 200 IIRC

As you are having to do the rebuild anyway get the forged items if you can as you will have more scope for upgrades in the future if you feel the need to.

its a 97 uk spec was ruuning about 320 bhp and same ft lbs torque, money is an issue at the mo, so was gona get a new engine fitted as got a spare block to use, then when new engine is fitted i will build a new one with forged internals once my orignal engine is out if that makes sense
