my first sub
hi am in the process of gettin a sub i just sold a evo 8 with 400bhp
ive a child on its way so ill need the boot space and thats why i went for the new sti
its a 58 plate red with the ppp so should be around the 330bhp mark?
ive been on the andy forrest site and ide like to go for stage 3 to up power to 390 bhp. is this a safe power? ill never have it on the track i just like the power on tap. i would go for the 360 map if it was a lot safer.
also read that they give a lot of engine problems is this true and what is the best way to lower her. tein type s? or pro drive?

bog standard sti with ppp is around 300 mate. running any engine out of spec is not safe. while standard internals are ok they are not anything like a fully forged build. Speak to andy about the stage 3 before you do anything.
A lot of people on here use tein or AST coilovers in their subarus, but the new Sti suspension is actually quite good out of the box. depends if you like the ride height and the stiffness (ohhh err missus)

The hatch will push out 330 if not more bhp, and 360+lbs of torque with the PPP fitted.
Seen 2 identical ones (different backboxes) and they ran the same bhp and 1lb of torque difference on the same rolling road on the same day.
Some minor issues with that 2008 map though, just make sure the dealer has reflashed your ecu with the latest version of the map, though if your going to go ecutek then your warranty will be gone but so will the major map issue
Read the sticky in general about the hatch engine failures
