Has anyone suffered the same prob as me, no boost! my car was working fine as usual yesterday, i came out thismorning to go to college let her warm up, all was ok, but when i went to pull out in front of a car i nearly crashed as the car had no boost-what could be wrong??? it went overnight! we've checked the vacuum through the pipes and all's ok with them, there's no dash lights on, no smoke, could it be the actuator or turbo gone? Any help much appreciated.

 

Is it in safe mode - no dash lights but protecting engine etc. from a problem?

Is it NO boost at all or just a lot lower boost - I assume there is a boost gauge in the cab to check?

Quite likely - you don't say what year car it is that a hose post Turbo has popped off or split and so letting all boost air out ... is it smokey at the time? Would be as MAF measured air and ECU fuelled for it but hose lost it...

If nothing obvious prob best to pop it into local dealer / tunerfor a look see / read ecu etc ... unless you have a hand commander(apexi PFC ) or delta dash to read it yourself?

 

Hi thanks for your reply, it's a 95 wrx, and there is no boost whatsoever! we did check the ecu and there were no fault codes, and there's no smoking. We've also done a vacuum check on all the hoses and they all seem to be ok.
We're at a loose end now. Thanks for your help

 

The plastic pipe from turbo to TMIC - under it - is known to brittle and crack, ??
