Can you help
My apexi is playing silly buggers, the car hasnt been run for ages and the batterys been flat.
On sorting her out the idle was really lumpy ie would drop to about 200 rpm and nearly stall.
Took her for an MOT and then she decided to sit at 4k - the throttle wasnt snagged.
Ive cleaned the TPS that was full of crud.
The Maf voltage incidentally is showing 1.07 i gather it should be 1.2.
Now heres the funny thing - if i plug in the old ecu it runs perfectly, i also plugged in a P1 ecu and that worked for a bit but then the car refused to start.
Ive also checked the idle settings on the apexi and they're correct.
Could a shagged Maf cause this lumpy running ?
Any advice will be welmone folks.

I'm having slightly similar problems with mine at the minute, of an high idle but it doesn't alway want to start either, hopefully getting a standard ecu to plug back in to see if any error codes come up, trying to get hold of a working ISCV to see if that makes a difference to (new ones are around £300 - don't fancy shelling out if it don't fix it).
Senors swapped so far are:
Cam Postion
Crank Position
Water Temp
MAF
Oil temp
Cleaned ISCV didn't make much of a difference but if its already dead cleanin won't do much.
Checked for air leaks.
If you manage to solve yours please let me know?

ive run a diagnostic on the standard ecu and it registered a fault with the ISCV - i cleaned it and the fault cleared.
It runs ok on a standard ecu.
Next step is to borrow a known good MAF and take it from there.

Thought i'd have another crack it - as have been running the standard ecu for a while.
Ive found that when the air con is on / the air con solenoid engages it idles normally.
Now when i had the car mapped i had the pops and bangs bit added and could be turned off when air con was on (or off - i cant remember).
So im thinking if i can replicate the aircon on settings itll run okay.
Help please - oh ive also tried wiring in the ecu to think the air cons on but that didnt work.
