According to this animated discusson the 2.5 WRX rear diff is 4.11:

John - if you are going to buy the box, the logical way forward re. the rear diff is to get the one that went with the box.
However if you put an 06MY one on, don't forget that you will be dealing with the different front driveshafts and clutch. If it does have a 4.11 final drive you may also find your speedometer reads wrong.

I thought that my99 uk turbo came with the 4.11 diff? I didn't realise about the shafts till I had a good look at the box. This I'll just get a box that's a straight swap and save for a 6speed.
What code box would be a straight swap?
Thanks for the help.

The rear diff on these hawkeye boxes is NOT a 3.54 the TY754VN1AA, 2AA, 4AA are all 3.54 but it went to 4.11 with the hawkeye WRX. The speedo drive ratio's are not different just screw your own mechanical drive or sensor for the later classics into the box. These boxes are also much stronger than the previous Blobeye wrx boxes so they are a good upgrade if you dont want to pay for a six speed. I am using the Hawkeye WRX shafts on my Hawkeye 6 speed and recently picked up a spare shaft fo £50.

Correction, there has been some discussion on this as i see and it does run the 4.11 rear diff not the 3.545 earlier diff.
