inlet manifold spacers - snake oil?
Sometime soon I have to replace my injectors etc, I see that a popular "upgrade" is to fit insulating manifold spacers. I am wondering what you lot have to say about the pros (and cons, if any) of these?
In my mind I am thinking that the air flowing through the inlet manifold has little time/contact to the inlet manifold (its not like it has fins/intercooler type matrix) to heat up by any significant amount.
Cheers

unless running big power/turbo 450 up or you have fitted an aftermaket inlet pipe and its a little squashed dont waste your money put it towards somethin of better use ie brakes/suspension

BTW I do understand that to do the whole job you have to also insulate the header tank and also bypass the throttle body, all easy enough and not that expensive (around £100 I think by time you account for gaskets).

i know of one car running them and believe that was only down to space needed most dont bother, i put a sticky up on here a while ago on removal of the manifold (on a newage) take a look may help you in the right direction .
