Isn't it the brown sensor above the boost control solenoid?
Sounds to me like the two errors maybe connected, try checking the wires/hoses arent loose or broken
hi plp. getting code 44 and 45 on a 1999 turbo... 44 is the map sensor,, but 45 says Turbocharging Pressure Control Signal?? whats this??
You've quoted those errors the wrong way round. Coder 44 is the pressure control (i.e. boost control solenoid). 45 is the pressure (i.e. MAP) sensor or pressure source change solenoid - not the other way round.
As Avery says the MAP sensor, boost solenoid and PSCS are all on the bracket on the offside suspension turret. The PSCS is the small brown three port solenoid, boost is the larger two port one.
Obvious cause of this, if you've got both errors at once, would be that you've just had the car serviced and they've all been disconnected for some reason. Whatever, first thing to look at is that they're all plugged in as they should be and that the wires haven't been caught/chewed by something.
