Default lack of lambda?

hi all
had car up on ramp earlier removing gearbox (nice and grindy) went to take the de-cat down pipe off and noticed i havnt got any lambda sensors just 2 blanking plugs. the car is a jap import 94 wrx had a quick look round and couldnt see any wiring either. is this correct or am i missing something

on imports they usually place the lambda in the manifold directly below the drivers side cylinder head.
