hi people,got myself a 97 impreza 2.0 turbo wagon,got history with it but its all in jap,changed oil an filter,but none of the car shops know what spec diff oil goes in it,do you have to buy the oil of subaru and if not what is the spec so i can sorce it myself,it looks easy enough to change ie open bottom nut then fill up to top net is it that easy or not

 

10w40 shell helix semi synthetic is standard, 5w40 fully synth is good and so is a 10w50 fully synth.
