Twin Scroll MD366 Any Information?
I have an Turbo Dynamics MD366 twin scroll hybrid turbocharger which has come into my posession. I bought it for the actuator as I wanted to send it away to be uprated believing that the turbo was in fact a VF36.
The turbo appears to have a VF22 compressor housing fitted to it but apart from that there is not a lot I can tell about it. The turbo bearings have gone, the turbine shaft does turn but there is more resistance than normal and I can hear the bearings groaning as the shaft is turned by hand.
Is the actuator the same as a VF36 and would it be worth having the turbo overhauled by Turbo Dyanmics?
I will contact Turbo Dynamics on Monday but I would just like to know some background info on this hybrid so that I can decide what to do with it.

This model number appears on a TD receipt for a replacement unit on my mk1 T25, and is the hybrid VF37 (sleeve bearing).
TD seem quite busy at the moment, hope you're not looking for a rapid turnaround.

Thanks for the responses but I don't think I'll be overhauling this turbo, it would not be enough of an improvement over the VF36 and in fact in terms of spool may be a step backward.
I might use the actuator if it's suitable but that depends on the operating pressure.
When I come to change the VF36 then I'll be looking at the Litchfield, Lateral or Scooby Clinic (can't remember if they are bringing one out) turbochargers.
