Default Battery or worse??

went to unlock car with key fob fourway flashers didnt flash then when i turned ignition on all the dash lights were flickering and the alarm came on.Bought two new batteries for the keys problem the same. Would it be the car battery,is it ok to jump start the car? O4 WRX by the way.

Yep, sounds like Car battery, bump-start is not recommended as can explode cat (rare but possible)!

i was going to use jump leads,are they ok?

same with mine the other week, i used jump leads and it worked for me, mine is a 2003 sti

its a pain the *** i only drive it once a week its been fine till now.

how old is the battery ? usually every 3 years your meant to get a new one but who really does that just wait till it dont work anymore lol ,thats the thing some times you get a warning the battery is on its way out other times they just die

Definitely car battery. OE Scoob ones are sadly quite poor. Halfords HCB005 is a good easy to obtain replacement. Don't know if you have a tracker, these use about 50mA so a good battery will be flat in 4 weeks regardless. The Scoob track car I'm trying to sell is stored in garage and did exactly as you describe after being left for 4 weeks. Normally I get round to charging it every 2 weeks to avoid probs. OE Ford battery in my well used 8 yr old Focus just keeps going so it can be the luck of the draw.

I had a similar problem with mine... trickle charged the battery over night and it was fine, no more alarms going off.
