boost actuator wind up ???
hi hope some one can help me ive fitted a boost gauge hks one new so fully working and i thought before i fitted it the boost wasnt the same as my friends impreza now ive relised my boost is only o.5 bar of boost asked about and everyone saying wind up the actuator as its not running lumpy or nothing but how do i do this any help would be good and can i do this myself not to clever when it comes to the engine but like to do it myself if i can.. any help with pics or any info would be great its a m reg wrx import thanks

Its easy to do, you just remove the turbo heatshield then slacken off the m6 nut (10mm spanner) remove the circlip from the turbo arm then shorten the arm by screwing it in. I would advise to only shorten it half to 1 turn then try it.
Before doing this you may want to investigate as to why is only running .5 bar to start with souds like its in limp home mode. Check the fault codes first then reset the ecu and see if this solves your problem.

thanks alot for info and the handy link no fault was there and also reset ecu and still same 0.5 bar boost only thing to do now is the actuator .hope i dont mess this up lol .only reason it might be actuactor its been sitting for a few years and now ive had it back for a couple of months and its just not boosting right since

Dude, just ask yourself one question: HOW did a locknutted thread get altered by that amount without anyone fiddling?
If the answer is, "I don't know", then GET IT CHECKED OUT BEFORE TOUCHING IT!!!!!!!!!!.
