Has it been mapped?

have you an air / fuel gauge?

Do you have a hand commander forthe Apexi PFC ??

Had Apexi PFC on myclassic for several years, super bit of kit when mapped properly.

yeh its got the hand controller but was mapped by a great guy so dont think its the map but have seen something about cranking cycles etc..... I was thinking the coolant temp sensor or something similar but would this still effect the cold start as it is standalone surely the values are already set so the fuel on start cant change ?? im also looking at taking the injectors out to get them checked maybe? im not really sure think this one has got me beat also wondered if ring wear would cause it as it is an old engine that has been pushed hard any ideas on these would be great

O-rings on injectors could go and so allow fuel under pressure ( std fuel pump or Walbro or better ? higher pressure may force a leak on old o-rings?) to get into heads / bore ...

The temp sensors may be failing or the wiring rusting so giving odd readings to the PFC, which then over fuels thinking it is cold / colder...?
I recall there are settings you can change for cold start enrichment etc. on the PFC hand commander, worth a play with those to see if it gets better, worse or no change.

May be stand alone but the PFC does use all the std sensors ...

Good idea, that eliminates any mapping, setting issues from the ECU end of things.

Just leaves the mechanical bits!
