Default Blue puff of smoke on start up

I got a random puff of smoke on start up from cold this morning it's never done it before, it clears fast and does not do it when driving,

I have been told I need a catch tank could this be why I get the odd smoke? From the breathers or intercooler leaking oil in my exhaust system? Car runs and idels fine,

Thanks darcy

Mine does it once in a blue moon. I would not worry about. Especialy on a cold morning. Can be a touch of dampness in the exhaust or a touch of oil.
Just keep an eye on it and if it becomes regular then dig deeper.

I know what you mean though - I bit of an unerving feeling if you ever do get a puff of something out the back.

When a bottom end, head gasket or a turbo goes though from experience you do know about it smoke wise. Definately lots of it.

mine didnt seem too, but mine only had a slight tear in one of them, which was just letting the oil drip through when the car was parked up, then on start up blowing it all out
