Default 2 Pot Rear Fitting ?

Putting subaru 2 pot rear brakes onto a 96 WRX.Got a pair of subaru rear calipers not brembo with 290mm discs. But when fitting them the drum part is to big for the handbrake shoes to reach them.I have the calipers, discs and fitting kit from godspeed do i need different shoes ? as i have read a couple of fitting guides and people say the discs should fit on after the edge of the backplate is removed

Thanks

You've got the wrong rear discs. The ones you have are for the R180-style back end which has a 190mm handbrake drum. The ones you need are the newage WRX-type, which have the same 290mm disc with the smaller, 170mm drum that is correct for your car.

You can get oversize shoes though - have a word with Ian and see whether your best option is swapping the discs or the shoes.
