Default Maf sensor

So i have been having some issues with my car hesitating and was told to buy a new maf sensor, after having sourced a green sticker one its fitted but I still have the same problem, I have discon the battery to reset the ecu to see if this does anything but if not does anyone have any other ideas?

I could also use the help of a scooby god if there is one as my new maf is green stickered but the old one has a sort of blanking plate across where the sender is inside the maf and the plug bit is made by Hitachi, part code 22680-aa170, anyone know if I now have the right maf or if the first one was the wrong one?
