Also a 3 point boost solenoid would be worth adding to allow better control of the boost imho, can be picked up for £25 - £40.

Sorry yes that is the STI TMIC. Standard silencer, don't want to irritate the wife by waking the monster (new baby!). Will get a boost solenoid just in case!

Thanks

Standard peashooter exhaust is quite restrictive, and really wont benefit the mods you are having fitted. If you want a rear silencer that is very user friendly(noisewise) consider a prodrive, racebox or a std sti backbox which is a better upgrade over the o/e system, and only a tad louder.

I have a 3" bore backbox in the garage (not expecting it to be quiet), might put that on for the map then stick it on at weekends? Will it bolt onto a 2.5" centre section?

I think you will find that the holes wont line up or will need elongating to make it fit,why not just sell the 3' backbox and get a prodrive unit and get it mapped to that.Makes more sense than bolting a backbox on each weekend and buying gaskets as they weaken eventually. Something like in the link below would be ideal if you dont want an really loud system.

Your pretty much spot on, your car already has the 440cc injectors so no need to change them, and as said, remap and your away though I would consider doing something with the brakes before hand, not the best in the world, a good disc/pad set up should do for now, but even that can give you some brown pants moments
1 last point would be changing the MAF sensor if its never been changed, they can be fragile and a 10 year old one wont be at its best

I would also change the MAF to a Z32 or Q45. If you have a 2 port boost solenoid i would replace it with a 3 port.

I take it that the 440cc injectors on mine are no different to the STi ones that i have bought!?

MAF replaced last week! Will look for a 3 port boost solenoid, any recommndations?

Brakes are 4 pots, not too bad but the car does pitch and roll a fair bit under hard braking. Going to sort the engine first then worry about brakes and suspension and finish off with some projector headlights.

if you've got a uk turbo it would be running 380 cc injectors as standard not 440's mate

440's are standard on the MY99/00 UK turbo cars, 94-98 UK cars ran 380cc.

Nope, they are just 440cc injectors out of the factory on the phase 2 cars, goes for the STI's and WRX's also, they reverted back to 380cc on the 2001 cars so it was only these 2 years they were fitted.
