why do you want to get rid of the sports cat? you wont see much difference in bhp plus the sports cat is M.O.T friendly

Leave the CAT in..... As said before the BHP gain is minimal and is the noise really worth the agro of having to change the exhaust every year for a MOT ?

I get turbo whistle with my cat fitted

Anyway as everyone has said, leave the sports cat in, waste of time replacing it with a decat pipe, your gain is minimal, and the cops will just pull you all the time and do you for emission failures

Probably because it will go through the roof before the end of the auction

Now as said in another thread, you need to watch what your doing here, induction kits and decats will just lead to you having to buy a new engine, your car will require a remap if you fit either, the PPP map is set for the parts on the car, if you remove the cat for instance then the car will "spike" and your engine will implode (not quite that bad but it will det and probably hole a piston if your lucky, if not then your main bearing will go and your going to be carless.....)

Sit back and see what people are trying to tell you

haha no chance, its a pipe at the end of the day. Id only pay for expensive systems to get the right noise but im happy with the cat back that came with the car when I bought it.

To be honest mate if you buy a monster turbo stick with the 100CEL sports cat, a larger turbo is going to make bags of noise

I only had a TD05 18G on mine with the 100 CEL sports CAT and it sounded like the turbo was sat on your shoulder............ Saying that I did have a front mount and Induction kit... And blanked off DV for the race chatter LOL

HAHAHA Nur Spec R is just bonkers!! I had the NUR spec and HKS 3" decat Downpipe and the car could be heard over three miles away......... LOL

Do not remove the sports cat and fit one of these Just be ready to deal with the 5-0 on a regular basis

Had a de-cat on my 05 STi,but Scoobyworld put me a new system on inc 100cell sports cat and Afterburner Vortex backbox. With the Re map lost very little in performance. Also drive car around to warm up cat and get the garage to do emissions test first at MOT time. The Afterburner Vortex is made by Hayward & Scott and believe me the sound is addictive.
