front knocking noise sti 2002
can anyone help. my 2002 sti bug eye has developed a knocking noise from the front drivers side at very low speed when driving straight and steering i have cheecked for play all joits connected to the hub and checked the wheel bearing all seems ok. today i have just replaced the front top mount which seemed to have done the trick for the first 5 mins then the knocking was back.
when you shake the front wheel and wobble the car you can here it knocking and if i hold the strut you can feel it but im not sure.
has anyone had this problem and can anyone help

Likely to be roll bar drop link. Possibly loose bolt as they are awkward to get tight. Any play will be disguised if car is not on dead level ground as there will be a load on the link.

checked the drop links and there dont seem to be any movement in them if the car is level or jacked up.
weired cos since ive jacked the car up and lowered it again when i shake the car the knocking has stopped. but after driving it again the knocking is back at low speed and when you shake the car ?
