Default mintex spueeky front pads

Just changed my front pads, a pretty painless job apart from it is the first time i have done pads in years. The old subaru O/e pads came with what looked like metal sleeves that go onto the pads.
After dismantling the pads i decided it would be best to replace the parts as they came off the car, so i copper sealed the back of the pads and then replaced the sleeves and put it all back together and now they have started squeeling.... and it is so annoying. Only at low speeds .
I am begining to wish i had used the rubber stick on pads that came with the mintex 1144 pads instead of the standard sleeves that came with the car.......or should i have used both?

these are 4 pot subaru calipers by the way not brembo

Do you mean the bendy metal bit on the pad?

Did you put enough copper grease? It tends to happen if there is no copper grease or you put lack of it on.

I thought i put adequate on , but that is possible i put about the same amount on as you would on a tooth brush and smeared it over the back of the pad

I once applied a small amount & later realised it was squeeking. Now i always put big blobs & that prevents it from squeeking.
