Fuel consumption?
Hi guys
I'm considering buying a scooby! Looking at a STI PPP or WRX PPP.
However fuel economy maybe a stumbling block.
I have a 20 mile daily journey to work, and the same home. So 40 mile trip daily thus 200 miles per week.
12 miles of my journey is M6 - usually free flowing roads, then a 8-10 mile drive along a dual carriage way with a 50limit along most of it, but 70 for the last couple of miles.
Can anybody tell me what they get mpg wise?

you shouldnt be buying a scoob if you worry about tax, insurance or mpg!
wrx with ppp average 30 mpg driven carefully
STI 24 mpg
I do a similar commute (probably a bit further!). 310 miles to tank. 60 liters. wrx with ppp

I never got 300mpt when my car was a WRX, even when it was mapped. 250 was about average. I didn't start getting 300mpt until i'd swapped the engine out for a v8 STi. Now i get around 350-360bhp and it will do 300mpt on a run no probs, and that's with a car load at c.80mph.
However, as has been said if you are worried about fuel etc....it's not the right car for you.

I average 22 mpg, 14-16 mpg going cross the B roads, and 6 mpg on track...
Do I care, not once it starts to pull...
dunx
P.S. Buy a diesel, and the money you save will go in a "scooby jar"...

ppp drinks fuel like its running out, ppp map just basicly ups the boost slighlty and throws fuel at it to compensate. you'll prob get more reasonable mpg getting it ecutek'd

340 miles out of a tank...... that is the biggest load of shizzle i have ever heard!
any turbo scoob i can assure you will never do 340 miles to a tank.
scoobynet is across the board pretty good for sourcing information and tech knowledge for al of you out there with scooby related questions...
but they are the few people on here that are just plain idiots
its a 60 litre tank and will do around 200 general driving.
in my case i get about 180.... buy urself a little run about is my advice and tune the b-jesus out of the scoob!

i think i will prob get near that in mine, keeping it off boost (its very hard to do cos its oooo so tempting lol) then i managed to get to bristol on £20 (160 miles) so wouldn't be unthinkable to get that.

i used to have a 05 plate 2.ltr wrx with ppp around 250 ish bhp and it would do about 250/260 to a tank mainly round town in traffic with a little play - now got a 2.5 ltr sti type uk with ppp around 320 bhp and get about 220 round town with little play now and again
