I think a non functioning front mount would look cooler.
And, more to the point, a non-functioning front mount would look cooler when the car isn't moving, as it wouldn't suffer from heat soak.
Olly, don't Sports have a plenum chamber behind the throttle body in the position where the intercooler would be on a turbo car? If so you clearly won't be able to fit a real IC in there without removing it?
Even if you can, I can't really see why you're bothering. The only way someone can see what is (or isn't) inside your scoop is if they're standing in front of your car looking into it from a fairly tight range of angles. Given that anyone standing that close will already realise your car's a sport, or is too busy sh*tting themselves at being about to be run over by you, what are you gaining here?
well basically it has the sti bonnet with scoop and wanted to mod my airbox to utalise the air flow from the scoop, sorry im a total newbie to scoobies.

Hmmm, given that you are, as you say, new to all this, the bottom line is that you're going to need to learn a hell of a lot more about the way your engine works before trying any modifications like this. If, for example, your car uses a mass airflow sensor, you won't be able to "modify your airbox" in this way, period.
You're also not really in the best place for specific advice, as, for obvious reasons, most of us here know very little about the specifics of the normally aspirated Imprezas. Have you tried www.imprezasport.net?
