Default sti ecu into a wrx?

hi all, as above really would a my96 wagon sti ecu be a straight swap into a my95 wrx wagon ecu?

If so what implications would there be?

Still a bit old when it comes to ecu's and maps.
Also is an ecu from an auto mapped any different to that from a manual car?
Any advie/info greatly appreciated

No. The MY96 STi wagon has a 260PS ECU (prob a Z4, out of the saloon?); the MY93-96 WRX wagons are 220PS.

So the STi wagon (MY95/96) ECU has a different map on it to the MY93-96 WRX wagon.
