HELP PLEASE - cambelt change 2004 sti?
car is hit 50k, and is due a cambelt change.
a friend of mine can do the work, i just need pointers on where to source the parts, and whats recommended to be changed, ie belts/tensioners etc.

You can buy a cambelt kit from import car parts

I wouldn't use them tensioners/idlers. If you are going to replace them use OEM.
If i were you i would only replace the tensioner and belt. It's unlikely that at 50000 your idlers would be worn out.
When you get it done ask your friend to look at the condition of the idlers.
As for what cam belt, use a Dayco or Gates. I've heard somewhere Gates make a majority of all the cam belts out there any way! OEM ones are gates but with a big price.
If i were you i would only replace the tensioner and belt. It's unlikely that at 50000 your idlers would be worn out.
