Default Adrian Flux

My insurance was up for renewal on 6th August and i've got to say Adrian Flux didn't even bother to call me back.
Also a member on SurreyScoobies was insured with them and had lots of trouble with making a claim. Don't think it has been sorted still.

Give Chris Classey @ A-Plan Thatcham a call and see what he can do for you.

Use the comparison sites, most accomodate JDM's now, I find Tescocompare the best.

Default Import insurance

Hi Guys,

Lookin for my 1st scooby for a long time now, seen some shocking examples. Went to look at a Legacy B4 RSK the other day that i really want but its an import so gettin insurance quotes that are just unrealistic. I had a quote for uk WRX for bout £600 which was sound but cheapest i've had up to now for this one has been £1800 with £1500 compulsary excess.

28 this year so thought things should be a bit cheaper for me out there

Try Admiral, they do a 10 month policy to make it more affordable as im only 22. They quoted me £1077 with £350 voluntary excess on a 2003 STI type UK, two older drivers added (auntie in her 50's and grandad male 80's) and brought it down 100's!

Has anyone had any experience when telling them a tracker has been installed? It actually put mine up in the end so I never told them. It is an RAC trackstar but it may have expired now anyhow.

Dont bother with comparison sites!! Cut out the middle man and go direct!! Saves you £££'s!!!!! I went with Privilage Insurance. Im 28, 3 points, 5+ yrs no claims, had to have tracker fitted (altho was already installed! Just had to pay a one off life time registration fee of £300), legal protection- £500. Mine is up for renewal soon and had quote from Direct Line who own Privilage and it was £465.

One thing tho with experience is one minute they give you one quote then if you ring again say a week later they give you a different quote. Just picking numbers out of a hat i recon!!

i have been with privilage for 3 yrs, am 29 this year and own my97 2000 uk turbo got 3 ncb and this years renewal was £2070i thought it must be a typing error when i read the letter so got on the blower and it was £2070, compared to last year which was only £1000 and i have had no miss haps in 5years(ow 1 sp30+3 points 2 yrs ago). so rang around, A.fluxs was the cheapest £800 but i always have payed monthly(not such a sting in the wallet at once) and they wanted it in 3 payments so shopped around again and went with AVIVA £900....... £150 excess which i was happy with... i still cant understand why privilage done that to me....
