Default Engine change/Wiring loom

Hi, just after some knowledge please, I've got a 1997 UK turbo 2000 model and apparently it had a 1995 WRX engine fitted and loom but i'm pretty sure whatever is in it now is a Turbo 2000 engine. Ive just brought a 1996 WRX import car and i'm after changing the engines, now im not sure if they just swap over or the loom needs changing, gearbox? ECU?

The engine currently in the car has a single ignition coil in the centre of the inlet manifold but the other engine has coil packs on the plugs so im assuming the loom needs changing aswell, would the loom fit in the Turbo 2000 with all the dash and stuff??? Also if i changed the ECU over would this affect any of the electrics in the car? i.e dials.

Thanks for your help in advance.
