Default need to know who mapped my car?

as title.
what is the best way to find out who mapped my car.

Its a jdm wrx sti limited 2002 imported 2007.
engine code EJ207dw4ER
chassis code GDBB4JH.

I know its been mapped before as it peaks to 1.5 bar at WOT 3rd, 4th, 5th, and holds 1.3 to 1.4 bar dependant on outside temperature.

do mappers keep records of chassis number, reg number ect..

I plan to spend a nit of money as I have found the slightest excuse a blowing DP gasket,
So I need a plan but i need to know what type of map it has, so I can decide what to do.

Bug Jap limiteds are a rare breed How about a few pics

Hi, can I ask what makes the car a Limited one? I have a 2001 ver7 jdm that is as standard producing 295bhp at 1.4 bar. I believe the top spec one has a front lsd, rear tints and auto and manual intercooler spray.

I'll have to have a think....... JDM STi limited had engine / exhaust mods and bodykit including risers for the spoiler and a very nice looking lip spoiler which is missing from the above pic IIRC......

2001 JDM bugeye was 280PS as per the usual Jap limit ..

You dont have to return to original mapper

If you are changing stuff it will need mapping again but think you know that

I keep a record of registrations

Ah where to begin... controversially its as close to a spec c as you can get for a bug sti out of the factory, although some refer to it as spec c limited it is not a spec c
so it has same motor as spec c/s202,"less roller bearing turbo"
different ecu"same as s202", different lsd's front and rear, everything else was the same as STI appart from the smiles per miles.
and as always the jap limit was 280ps something to do with a gentleman's agreement.it was advertised as having the highest torque of 384N.M for STI.
I have seen all sorts of Japanese blogs with all sorts of outrageous claims on actual~HP from the factory but until i see it with my own eyes until then its just bloody quick.

Hi midlife you are correct but my car sadly never came with the front lip as advertised as the 30th anniversary model, someone broke it before owned the car so it came lipless

I still have the original rear spoiler with one piece riser.

I keep all the details of every vehicle including reg, model no, vin number, engine/g-box numbers plus all mods etc and any supporting comment/pics and graphs. This reg isn't in my database though. As mentioned any ecutek tuner can remap an ecu once first done without the full cost being involved, it should always be more cost effective to use the last mapper as he has that map, another dealer would start from scratch, thats sometimes not a bad thing though (lol)

cheers

Scoobymoz and someone else had an NB-R which is another rarity in the UK

Nice find

One more in the uk as far as I know it was sold on PH about a year ago in black again no from splitter I am sure our kerbs in the uk are the cause of this. but deffo a limited. It sold for 9.5k after about a week.
Not a great deal of people know about these cars.

I am pretty sure I have only ever seen at the most 4 in the uk rare or what.
I have researched the car and most where broken in jpn when i bought it there where a fair few adverts in the export yards in jpn on the net but all for parts.
I have seen one more in jpn for auction and it went for stupid money white one about 18 months ago.
doing a search on the chassis number you will only find this for sale in jpn well cheap to.
