i know this has probably been asked a thousand times but would i benefit from an aftermarket ecu i have a my02 wrx with an 18g td05, 650cc injectors, massive tmic, full decat with stainless headers, walbro fuel pump and ecutek map by andy carr it ran 364bhp at prosport then changed the back box which it then only made 324bhp changed the back box again and it has come back alive so assuming its around 350+bhp at the min with about 330ftlb of torque. I have been considering buying the simtek ecu but before i rush into it wanted mappers opinions on is it worth it for the car and mods i have what sort of advantages will i get or disadvantages currently running 1.4bar boost aswell just incase that info is needed thanks and look forward to replys

 

what has Andrew Carr advised? why spend out when you have a perfectly capable ecu already and good mapper to go with it.

 

you get more control with the simtek or most after market ecu for that matter

 

nothing yet not spoke to him tried sending him a pm but inbox full lol and last time i did major work i just picked the first place i saw and got it done so this time im looking for multiple advice rather than just jumping in feet first. I know how good andy is as my car has been fantastic since he mapped it but getting advice off a few mappers is what i am hoping to get
