Just keep at it mate. Heater to hot and blowers on, massage the bottom hose whilst topping up via the header tank until you feel the bottom hose warming up

If all you have done is change the rad, then it can only be an air lock

hi ive change the radiator and thermostat but it seems there is a lot of pressure in the header tank also the bottom radiator hose is cooled even tho the water is boiling hot? its really getting on my nerves now y do they make it so hard to bleed these cars?

header tank cap off and hold some revs on and then massage bottom hose to help push the air lock out, you will get there.

did you let the car boil at any stage ? without testing for headgasket failure its a guessing game.

hi had the same problem with my classic when i refited my engine the way i got round it was to undo to bottom rad hose and fill the header with coolent and then put the bottom hose back on when coolent was running through then i back filled the system using the water pipe on the back of the header tank that goes down near the turbo this sorted my problem good luck

its worth removing the new stat and testing it in some boiling water just to make sure it is opening.

Just cos its new, dont assume its working

So it's air-locked then.

If it was me, i would drain the system first.

Then take the rear most hose off the header tank, get a funnell and back fill the system through that rear hose. Do it very slowly so as to avoid any spit back or bubbling, it can take a while on a fully drained system, so patience is a must When it's full put it (the rear hose) back on, then fill the front of the system through the header tank in same manner
