The Simtek is far more capable than the Apexi and £800 plus VAT for your model fitted and mapped.

The Apexi does a job and is a good starting ECU controlling fuel and ignition and a lot can be learned from the hand held controller. Boost control is rather basic. There are lots of second hand Apexis about and it can be a cheap way to get a mappable ECU, however, the capability of the Simtek is streets ahead.
