Default IC spray

I'm looking into making a inter cooler spray system, I have the pump water tank, but I'm a bit stumped with the spray nozzle obviously I can't use a washer nozzle as I think I need to spray a 'mist', what nozzles are people using ? and where can I get some?

A lot of modern cars use nozzle that mist rather than spraying a jet, AFAIK Peugeot 206 GTI nozzles spray a mist.

The part number for the Subaru nozzles is 86636FA120. You might also find your local garden centre a source of some suitable parts.

That said, IME water spray is of negligible benefit unless it is automatically activated in response to demand. If you're running an ECU capable of controlling it then that's one thing. If you're planning on implementing a simple manual button, then you'll need a charge temp gauge to determine when to press it.

You can tell the difference with it on, mine is wired to a presure switch linked to my boost gauge, 15psi it starts spraying. Get through some water but does the job, got manual button as well to give it a good blast before launch.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the O/E item, I just assumed it would be prohibitively expensive from a main dealer things like that often are, but sometimes it pays to check so I’ll do that now I have the part no.
And it’s just going to be a simple system initially manually operated but ultimately linked to boost levels.
