No Oil Showing
Well i have just bought a 06 hawkeye sti and when i got it home i checked the oil level and noticed it was really low, so i put a ltr in and now the cars showing no oil! I topped it up with another half ltr and still the dip stick is dry.
I havent driven the car and there is no puddle of oil underneath. Also i have just run the car whilst in the garage for 4-5 min, still no oil showing.
I've never own a scooby, do you need to drive it for the oil to settle or something?
Really starting to worry but don't want to pour another 3 ltrs in if un-needed.
Thanks
Elliott

Just read the subarus take 5 ltrs of oil. It wasn't serviced a few thousand miles ago, could it have really used all that oil? Car seems to drive fine!

change the oil and filter, that way you'll know what's what, even if it's been serviced recently the first thing I do when I get a new car is change the oil, it's worth it for the peace of mind. Once it's changed and re-filled with the right amount you can keep an eye on the level and montior usage.

It's a 2.5, yes? They are notorious for being hard to check the oil.
Mine will be fine, take it for a run and there's none in
An hour later, still none, but half an hour after THAT, there it is again
They are VERY susceptible to being on a slope when checked too............
