some more info would be good. like the symtoms if any when it was last used? have you had anything in bits or done any work on it
My favorite is the arrow on the outside(front) of the crank sprocket isnt the timing mark. that needs to be at 3oclock so that the small mark on the crank trigger is in line with the mark on the block

yeah i lined that 1 up first time, almost cranked it 2, it was working fine, i just re-built the engine, so i guessing ive knocked a sensor, ive got compression, and fuel, the timings spot on, and a spark???? im really stumped?? the engine turns over fine, so i guess crank or cam sensor? but then would it spark?

Cam sensor - no spark, crank sensor - no fuel.
Try all your earths make sure they are securely bolted down. You do know the top left cam is supposed to be a tooth out? As in the one with the sensor on it.
