95 Legacy BG5 GT Twin Turbo not revving pas 4500rpm
Hey guys, im new to this site and im hoping someone can shed a little light on a problem with a Legacy im thinking of buying.....so here goes.....
The car is a 1995 Legacy GT TwinTurbo Auto that has been laid up for 5 months without being driven or started.
I went to test drive it and after an initial few coughs and splutters it stared running like a dream except it wouldnt rev past 4500rpm while idle and while driving...There was no loss of power and it didnt stuggle to get there it just seemed to hit the rev limiter at 4500rpm and the check engine light was on....The car is 100 miles away from me so we couldnt get it on a diagnostic.
Has anyone come across this problem before or can anyone shed some light on what this may be? I really want this car but im worried that this fault might run up a serious repair bill before i even get to drive it properly!
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

ECU is entering limp, you need to do a dianostic check to see where the fault lies.
See how here, it's the same as an impreza - http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/error_codes.asp.htm
UK Legacy forum is good for info also.
