Its illegal (again) which means your insurance is invalid.
Really? where do you get that amazing fact from
As I have said, its illegal to do, have an accident and your really screwed!
Now why dont you just go and buy a sensor and fix it? easy as pie
Tony
so are 99% of all insurance policies on scoobs but who cares??????

Don't take this the wrong way, but only a fool would not openly declare modifications
Because as stated - technically it declares your policy null and void.
As for is it safe to do - haven't got a clue.

Never tried it on an impreza but usually if you remove the fuse it will register as a fault and light will stay on.
Not sure re the legality. All I know is if the car is fitted with abs then it must be functional but you are permitted to remove the abs fully.

sounds plausable, i cant see it doing any damage to anything just the annoying light staying on,. is there a simple way to check which sensor is faulty

I thought if a sensor was faulty then the ABS wont work anyway, it'll throw up the fault code and disable the system?
You havent said which model you have, but on the classics there should be a black block connector under the dash with a single black wire taped to it - maybe higher up. Connect the black wire to hole 6 of the connector, turn on the ignition and the code will flash up.
ABS DTC list
11 – Start Code, DTC is shown after start code, Only start code is shown in normal condition
Abnormal ABS sensor, open circuit or voltage too high
21 – front right ABS sensor
23 – front left ABS sensor
25 – rear right ABS sensor
27 – rear left ABS sensor
Abnormal ABS sensor, abnormal ABS sensor signal
22 – front right ABS sensor
24 – front left ABS sensor
26 – rear right ABS sensor
28 – rear left ABS sensor
29 – any one of four
Abnormal solenoid valve circuits in ABS control module and hydraulic unit
31 – Front right inlet valve
32 – Front right outlet valve
33 – Front left inlet valve
34 – Front left outlet valve
35 – Rear right inlet valve
36 – Rear right outlet valve
37 – Rear left inlet valve
38 – Rear left outlet valve
41 – Abnormal ABS control module
42 – Source voltage is abnormal
44 – A combination of AT control abnormal
51 – Abnormal valve relay
52 – Abnormal motor and/or motor relay
54 – Abnormal stop light switch
56 – Abnormal G sensor output voltage

As yours has ABS, your not allowed by LAW to disable it, doing so will make your car un roadworthy thus also invalidating your insurance (as you have removed/tampered with the braking system), so your NOT ALLOWED TO DO IT FOOKWIT!!! or did you not understand what you have been told?

LOL, see you there then?
Still you dont seem to get it do you?
Suppose some people dont have any idea's or even bother with other road users safety just ones that dont bother with consequences of their actions due to driving a defective vehicle
And your the only one with the attitude, think you need to look a bit closer to home (oh and do you have insurance or do you flaunt that too?)
