exhaust, filter and remap and you will be there or very close to it, although will be easier target for a jdm car.

Mate, i have a 2005 STi UK. I love the car, its awesome but trust me on this. JDM is the way to go. Look at the link, this is what you want

https://www.scoobynet.com/private-fo...5-jdm-sti.html

By the way UK 2lt cars seem to be good clutch and engine wise to 400bhp. Getting there is not cheap though.

i have had stwo scooby just sold my 05 sti ppp was looking for a jdm or a litchfield but cant find anythng that i like ,,
yeah gd car a low milage but i have to spend some money on the jdm top get it how i like

i have heard the jdm box indestructible i know the block is a lot stronger and can take more punishment but i wont be going any further then 350 hp so uk car might suffice. just concerned about running gear and how it can handle the power over a length of time

330bhp is about average on the stock turbo on a 2.0 sti, the 2.5's tend to be higher so will beat the 350bhp mark.

option would always be to throw another turbo at it, sc36 or sc38 would prob be very nice on it hehe

On my 2005 sti uk I had 370 bhp and 360 lbs ft of torque from my standard engine and turbo

my mods were
aps inner wing induction kit £100 2nd hand
Bosch 255 lph fuel pump £180 fitted new
Perrin intake elbow £40 2nd hand
gt spec II headers and up pipe £500 new and wrapped if I remember correctly
and a custom 3 inch Decat exhaust £550 new
I ported my turbo as I was suffering a little from boost creep and added a splash of methanol to the fuel mix £100 for the porting
oh and a set of Ngk pfr7b plugs about £40
An Andy Forrest remap £550 + vat

if you watch the 2nd hand sales you can get alot of it for cheepness

the sti is the easyest to get to the 350 mark
as aboth, the standard engine should easy to 400bhp +

all you really need for that, is injectors/remap/exhurst/airfilter set up.
and if pos, front mount & slightly bigger turbo charger.

what turbo is fitted to yours mate

On my 02 STi I got 360 bhp with new headers, FMIC, 3" APS exhaust + Cat, Uprated fuel pump and GEMS ECU. Went for GEMS as when deciding on upgrades Ecutek was not as good as is now so didn't want to spend on map then buy standalone ECU later.

These 05 UK STI engines are very strong. Mine has run the last 40k at various power outputs from 330bhp to 430bhp. Probably more now since Zen fitted the Syvecs. Car is at 72k now and still pulling like a train. Choo Choooo.

Standard engine with a 321T turbo

No, that will be estimated flywheel horsepower. When you get it tuned the dyno will measure wheel hp and then correct it for estimated transmission loss to give a take home flywheel figure. 350 hp at the flywheel would be about 280 at the wheels. Getting 350 at the wheels would take a fair bit of work

350 ay the wheels would be some where around 450-460bhp and that will be a nice big turbo as well and maybe a fmic and some injectors and even a clucth but would be very nice indeed

Litchfield Imports have 2 mk1 Type-25s in stock, one is the wider track models, as far as I can see. I can't remember about the other, though it had the older style interior.

Both should have 350bhp, with the hybrid VF37 unit, so no need to modify soon, and much less hassle than rolling your own.

The black one returned about 27mpg, as far as I can remember, on the 180 mile trip back, when I had it for a week on loan.

Transmission loss depends on a number of factors, but on a 4 wheel drive is usually estimated as in the low 20s percentage wise. On my last dyno run measured wheel horsepower was 235, estimated flywheel horsepower was 328.
