cold/damp starting problem
thought this was cured but when car has been standing outside for a couple of days,it starts ok but missfires and has a reluctancy to rev.
its a 96 wrx and has recently had all new plugs and new coil packs on battery side as they were crackedalso new coolant temp sensor and i have cleaned the icv too.
if i am right it would be more of a damp problem than a cold problem but i dont know where to start.or how to check things
anyone else had this issue???
cheers

Does the car turn over? How fast? try it at night, with no light, get someone to turn it over and look under the bonnet. Look for blue sparks trailing everywhere.
If you DO see the above, you could try spraying the ignition leads etc with Holts Damp sealer, NOT damp-start.
How good is the battery? It MAY have enough power to turn the engine over, but leaving it insufficient to spark.

Battery turning a stone cold engine takes approx 50% more current than turning a warm one.
