Default PPP Exhaust VS 3" Back Box

Hi, im looking into changing my exhaust to a set up with a 3" exit. My car is currently a classic with PPP. I just need to know will changing the exhaust or back box have any effect on the car? Ive read much about not changing the PPP extras, but will a back box have that much effect, looking at a afterburner or hayward and scott. Thanks

a backbox won't do anything to your car, apart from make it sound better. The prodrive backbox is a really good all rounder but i can't help myself from putting my afterburner vortex on.

Not exactly true,a backbox will allow the exhaust gases a quicker exit from the turbo due to less back pressure, compared to the std system due to bigger tailpipe, less baffles, and even the angle can make a difference to how well the exhaust gas flows . I agree with you about putting the vortex on - awesome sound imho.

yeah sorry, bit vague in my reply. i meant it does not effect it enough so that it will need a remap or anything.
