Default Alarm / Immobiliser question?

Hi, my STI7 has flatly refused to start having not being started for a couple of months.

I have connected my starter/charger and re-tried - I turn the alarm off with the keypad then put the key in ignition, it turns over but doesn't fire? before I sart checking for sparks & fuel.........

Can somebody confirm that the immobiliser is definately off if the engine turns over? (I am assuming it wouldn't do anything if the immobiliser is still on).

Any other thoughts?

regards Andy

depends if its OEM or after market System. an OEM system wouldn't allow you to crank it over if the immobilizer is still active. An Aftermarket system could possibly let you crank the system, but it stops the fuel pump from activating ( priming or powering up )

It's the original one fitted from new.

I think I can here the fuel pump fire up so it sounds like its time to check fuel and sparks.

thanks
