Default which clutch and porting question?

Hi everyone

what clutch would you recommend for the spec below.. i decided to get a vf43 turbo. I plan on getting a 6 speed conversion in the future and will my upgraded 5 speed clutch fit the 6 speed?

so what's the best clutch?

spec is
sti 8 shortblock with wossner forged pistons, rest internals standard.
fmic
apexi cone air filter with cold air feed
ported headers and up pipe
decat downpipe
catback exhaust system
ngk pfr7b spark plugs
adj fuel reg
550cc injectors
increase boost to 1.7 bar
3 bar map sensor
remap

Is there any gains from porting the inlet manifold?

Thanks

Mark

I,d imagine you would get gains but not at the power level your at, the manifold will flow enough air for an easy 500hp..

At that level, one of these would be ideal

Also worth uprating the flywheel to lightweight forged unit - makes the car nice and lively. http://www.superhids.co.uk/lightweig...l-5-speed.html

5 Speed setup (clutch/flywheel) will transfer over to the 6 speed. 6 Speed clutch can be fitted to a 5 speed using a 6 speed flywheel, but box will need modifying slightly.

Hope it helps.

No noticable gain from porting the inlet manifold.
Gains to be had from porting heads and exhaust manifold.
You can run 5 speed clutch with six speed box if this is a Classic
