Dry cranking question
Got a service to do on my car when work quietens down a bit of xmas, and intend to dry crank the engine as well as pre-filling the filter as it seems to be the recommended method on here.
Easiest way seem to be disconnecting the CPS, however someone on here a while back was saying that unless you unplug the injector loom as well then you will get bore wash due to the petrol being squirted in with no ignition.
Whats peoples thoughts on this? Or does unplugging the CPS automatically cut the fuel as well?
Also im guessing this will throw a code too?
Thanks for your help

A even easier way is to remove the fuse for the fuel pump as it takes all of 10 seconds to do. It's located in the tray next to the battery with SBF5 on it
