my first mod was a service with good oil, new plugs, new leads, new MAF, HKS panel filter & set of braided brake hoses & decent pads!

imo its better to have a reliable motor before you go trying to make it faster!

then it was suspension, intercooler, exhaust & now ECU

Car was serviced the day prior to pick up, with cambelt, aux belt and all oils replaced!
Plugs fair enough but what benifits is there in changing leads, also air filter sounds good!

Buying a hks is there any performance gains???

No gains what so ever! Just problems.

KnN panel filter if you plan on keeping the car for a few years, otherwise, fit a new OE every 6 months.

I always do it in the order, brakes, handling, power last. And I've done a few, I must be
IMO a car that handles and stops well can be as fast as one running more power point to point

KnN tried and tested and fitted by experienced tuners.
Don't believe the hype, 10-15bhp gains etc, bullpiss.
Filtration is paramount. The only reason i run a KnN is for service purposes, ie don't need to change it every year and the filtration is at least OE.

Use the search facility on here and search for "hks". Read to your hearts content and then decide.

Just shop around mate. Mine came of Ebay, iirc c.£40. As long as it's a genuine KnN

I'm not sure on your MY. As you are pretty much standard then the standard plugs will/should be fine.
