350 no more than 400 tops, been told it helps keep the heat from the engine is this true ? my quest is not just power but to take some of the heat away from engine bay

For 350-400 stick standard position and use a heat jacket on the turbo housing, wrap on all the exhaust pipes and you will be fine. Just for the rotated pipes alone you are looking at about £1k.

No real need for rotated at 400 bhp. But if you are looking at a tubular manifold and a new exhaust system it could be worth pricing up as these bits (or parts of) would have to be changed to go rotated.
