FMIC recommendations.
Hi all, i am looking to buy a FMIC for my V2 STI. I am a bit baffled by the options available. I am after a good value set up with minimum modifications to my car.
Many thanks in advance.

jazzmonkey: obviously the bumper but i had to cut the inner wing where the pipe goes in just for a bit of wiggle room.
harvey: honestly i have no idea, it went to mappers at 1bar and 252.3bhp and came out at 1 bar and 273.4bhp. he was very impressed with the kit though. Japspeed quote: 1050cfm @ 0.5 psi Drop

Sorry but I couldn't understand how someone could sell an FMIC kit for £200 or thereabouts when my FMIC kits are £325 and £375 respectively so I was interested to do a comparative test.
When the FMIC kit was received and unboxed it went straight back in the box, there was no need for testing and the kit was sold at a loss.

GT2 photos for starters.
There are numerous photographs on Scoobynet of both the GT and GT2.
Thanks to Alex Simmons whose car this is on:

Pics don't work for me either.
To the OP. Hybrid GT spec from Harvey. Jobs a good un and doesn't cost the earth!
You'll need to get the car remapped for it though and you'll also require an induction kit as the std airbox will no longer fit (that applies to all FMICs)

I've got an autobahn front mount. its good but i was thinking of going back to top mount. All that intake pipework can't be a good thing? Only trouble i have is that i've changed my bonnet so not sure top mount will line up again.

Look good Harvey.
One point i have noticed. Larger surface area to aid cooling etc, But stick the number plate back on and surely the airflow is reduced by blocking the core?
