Front brake choice Classic AGAIN

Front brake choice Classic AGAIN
Sorry everyone I guess this has been done to death but i need new pads (and discs)
I have 4 pots on a 97 car 295mm discs.
'upgraded' from standard to ECB Greenstuff pads - leathal - I set them on fire!
Tried Ferrodo DS2000 - didn't think they were any better than standard.
Did my research on our lovely forum here and then chose Pagid RS4-2-1 Black pads and they are great, no fade on track days. But they are done and also get squeeky when not worked for a while.
I wont be doing track days anytime soon as 1st baby on the way, I have Ferrodo DS2500 pads on the rear.
Any suggestions for good supplier of suitable pads & discs. Thought about Pagid 4-2 but quite pricey and as I said I wont be on track days so possibly overkill.
Cheers guys

EBC Greenstuff - No good as you found out LOL - I used to get a burning hair smell on arriving at work MY97 with 4-pot upgrade also
EBC Redstuff are good on the classic Scoob - just coming up to needing to replace mine now, was told at MoT that front and rear are getting toward the end of their lives LOL - so thought I'd poke my nose in and see what others are suggesting
IIRC the discs I have are EBC dimpled and grooved...

A lot of people are raving about EBC's latest offering, the Bluestuff NDX. Allegedly, its a different compound altogether from their previous offerings and is supposed to be very, very good.
TBH, unless you upgrade to 6 or 8 pots + 330mm+ discs, you DO need to upgrade to a really aggressive pad to notice any meaningful difference, as the DS2500 are still a decent, solid choice and work straight from cold, no noise, not very dusty, etc. They may not be cutting edge these days, but they do what they do - and do it well. No fuss, no muss.
It'll be your 4 pots/294mm discs that are letting the side down, so if you do keep 'em then, as said, you may need to simply experiment with more aggressive pad compounds - could prove an expensive exercise...
