wagon boost pressure
hi all,
Recently bought another scoob, this time a my97 jdm wagon. As far as i was aware the standard boost pressure on these wagons is 10.1psi dropping to 7.2psi. Fitted a boost gauge to mine today to check what it was boosting as it felt quicker than it should. Anyway it was peak boosting at 15psi and tailing off to 12-13psi. There is no visable electronic boost controller or dawes device, which leaves me to think ecu has been chipped or mapped? Just wondered if anyone could help me find out if it is chipped or mapped. My last classic was a my94 wrx which wasnt mappable, so i went with a polar performance chip. so wondered, are 97 models mappable or will it be a chip? cheers!
