Default Turbo Upgrade

I have a Impreza wrx turbo, jap import 95.
I've put a big FMIC, Baileys dump valve, KandN air filter and massive exhaust. I don't know a great deal about them so what turbo should I upgrade it to?
What else should get upgraded?

Thanks

you need a remap or your engine will need a rebuild...

dont drive it on boost until you had it remapped

Cheers, What Turbo should I put on there before the remap?
Its off the road at the minute so will get the remap when its complete.

Do you know any where in essex for the remap?

A different turbo is the least of your worries, and anyway the TD05 is more than enough.

didn't the jdm wrx's have td04's instead of the uk 05 and 2 pot brakes rather than the uk 4 pots.

bigger injectors, walbro fuel pump 255,orange maf off nissan zx300 and you will need to change ecu yours not mappable
oh and upgrade brakes to at least four pots or brembos if funds allow
all that should see you in region of 330bhp give or take 10 or 20 bhp
thats more than enough on standard internals and gearbox upgrade anymore and your talking forged engine rebuild and changing gearbox
hope this helps

The JDM MY93-96 WRX Wagons had top entry TD04Ls. The MY93-96 saloons and the STi's (inc. STi wagons) had the top entry TD05H 16g.

All MY93-96 UK cars had top entry TD05H 16g - even the wagon. MY97-00 UK cars had TD04Ls (front entry this time).

I think the JDM STi v.3/4 got the 4-pots... Then all MY99/00 variants got them (inc. the UK MY99/00 cars).

OP, your serious limiting factor will be your std 380cc injectors - only get about 300-310 bhp from them, absolute max... But your 16g (if a saloon, right?) is capable of 330-350!

I'd get some 550cc ones in there, decat d/p (if you haven't already), Walbro 255 fuel pump, NGK FPR7B plugs, then get a ESL Live (MAFless version!) remap from either JGM or dynamix. A safe 330-350 should be on the cards... And hopefully your box will be okay for the foreseeable future.

You could fit a bigger turbo (if you do the 550s) and aim for 380+... But as eluded to, your aged, early TY752 box will be on borrowed time (and also your WRX internals!).
