Default Getting rid of the standard modine

Hi, I was wondering wheter I could get rid of the standard modine. I'm rebuilding the angine after a big end failure, and it could save me some moneys.
The car is running a Mocal oil cooler so overheating should not be a problem.
Can I do this?

Its also there to get heat into the oil quicker on cold starts, i would fit a new one, & leave it on, they are quite efficient on reducing temps.
I presume its going to be a new Mocal cooler as well.

When there,s a major failure like a big end it gets everywhere, i have seen too many over the years, if your confident there's nothing inside the cooler, best of luck.

It's not something I'd risk: small outlay for a possible big bang later
