Default boost controller

Hi i have just got a 2001 bugeye and now looking for a bit more power. As far as i can tell it's standard apart from a very loud back box. was told it was remaped but I fitted a boost gauge and only going up to about .8 bar. I have a hks evc left over from my previous car would this be ok on this. I know on most cars it normally ok to up the boost but after reading some post on here im not sure on this car. also what would a good exhaust be that is a bit sporty but not to loud
cheers

Hi there don't fit any Boost controller, because your ECU have good boost control.About the 0.8bar this is standard boost on Bugeye WRX,if was been remapped you will should run 1.3bar at least.
Don't waste money on Boost controller, just save money for open source remap which cost around from £300 and after this you will see difference...

Thanks for reply. Thing is i already have the boost controller so wouldn't cost anything. However if a remap is much better I can sell that and put it towards the cost of a remap

Sell it, get a proper remap, bish bash bosh.

You cant just go fitting boost controllers and up the boost without getting the car re-mapped.

When you get the car re-mapped, the mapper will turn the boost up in the ECU and you get to keep all the standard components
